OPEN MEETING - Monday 20th May 2024, Wigton Bowling Club, 7pm

Dive into the conversation and help shape the future of Wigton Baths at our ‘Open Meeting’.

Since taking over the pool in 2015 we have worked hard to ensure we offer something for everyone in the local community and we’d like to extend a warm invitation for you to come along and hear our plans for the pool, plus bring your ideas and fundraising suggestions.

2024 is an important year for the pool, with support and assistance from Cumberland Council, Wigton Baths have secured funding from the UK Government Swimming Pool Support Fund( SPSF).

The funding secured is to assist with energy efficient improvements to reduce the pool energy consumption and ultimately reduce running costs of the community pool.

Whilst we are extremely grateful for the grant, it does not fully cover the costs of the necessary work. As a result, we are exploring innovative fundraising strategies this year, which we look forward to sharing with you during the meeting.

We'd also like to extend gratitude to Saint & Co Accountants in Wigton for generously providing sponsorship so we can offer refreshments for the event.
